Default Elo Ranking for Hero vs Hero

Heya, There was some thread which talked about ranking Hero vs Hero but it got abandoned cause it went rather offtopic and confusing (my fault).

Anyways. The basic idea is one uses the ranking system they use in chess. Its basically is a very very accurate way of showing which player is more likely to win based on how well he does against other players of various rank.

It could even work exactly like yahoo games. Heroes with a low rank would go to beginner's hero vs hero, people with medium rank would battle there, and people with high rank would battle in high rank.

A beginner has little to learn from someone who is much better than him and vice verse. But he would learn from someone slightly better than him and vice verse.

I'm not too sure, hero battles seem pretty random and its hard to go wrong with the AI unless you give them really bad builds and set them to "avoid combat"

yeah Honestly I've never done Hero vs hero so I'm just going on other people's arguments. Its not a hard thing to add is all.

And you wont get the elitism of HA even, since you dont need a group for HvH ^^
